Stressful Buying Gifts...

The good thing when those kids' birthdate are very close is that I'll search for their gifts in one shot. I have 5 nieces + nephews (soon to be 6 coz a new addition of nephew will join the list). Their birthday are all fall in the month of July & August including my little monster & the my newest soon to be born nephew! So do you know it's actually stressful to choose and buy gifts to the little friends here? It's not as easy as you think or you think any toys will satisfy them? Surely not! You have to know what cartoon characters they like that is the basic hint and think of the necessary items according to their ages is another important aspect. Well I almost get the mission done pretty late this time because I hardly have time to shop relaxingly with the hyper-active baby who always climbing out of the stroller!

My Niece Is A Big Girl

Oh my niece is really big and heavy girl by now. When she plays with me, she has forgotten that she is grown up. She doesn't know that when she hit me, she can really make me painful. And when her whole body leaning on me, I can feel that she is having about half of my weight although she's only 5year-old. Anyway, she isn't a fatty girl but strong and tall compare to the kids at her age. She's so cute that she loves to kiss her baby brother when her baby brother staring at her. I'm wondering will she be a good friend with me when she really grown up later?...

They Did It Again...

Remember they were wearing almost the same that I posted earlier here? The small boy is so cute, he asked his uncle to wear the same style again for the next day when we went out together for breakfast in the morning. You see his mischievous smiling...a naughty boy but always know how to melt adult's heart!

There was one night we had dinner at the restaurant, the waiter was alert to carry a baby chair for him spontaneously but you guess what the boy said to us? ... "I'm four years old already, I don't need baby chair!..." We were laughing at him and replied him "Oh yes, you are BIG boy now, you don't need a baby chair any more"

Bullying

Oh I got you, small boy! This is the "valid" proof where my naughty nephew bullying my big kid when we were chatting to each other. You see him kicking the back of him! Don't underestimate the kids, they are smart in taking the opportunity to bully the adults. (He only did this once in a while lah...)

... because they are good friends and wearing almost the same style of shirt when going out to eat. The small boy claimed that his shirt is more beautiful because there's a badge on the pocket whereas his uncle one doesn't have!

Happy Mother's Day

Today is a very special day to all the mummies. How are you going to celebrate this special occasion with your mum? Bear in mind, please don't ask your mum to cook for you today. She should have a total relax holiday on this Sunday. The above pix really reminds me of the time when I was going to primary school, mum will prepared breakfast for me in the morning and waited the school bus together with me to fetch me to school. I'll put up how am I going to celebrate Mother's Day on my other blog later. Check it out.

Gold Coins As Gift

Do you scratch your head in thinking what to buy for your family members on those special days? I'm not smart in picking gifts but I supposed there must be something precious and meaningful when I get something to my all-time respectable parents. When I was a small girl, I made cards and painted some drawings for them on their birthday. My mum still keep those presents nicely in her wardrobe. It's true that a present for your parents not necessarily an expensive one, a little card is enough to make them a big wide smile. But I have grown up now and I'm earning money so I want to buy gold coins for them as a small gesture of appreciation from their forever little girl at heart! I think the set of American buffalo is perfect for them because we Chinese loves "Golden Ox" which symbolizes wealthy. Bear in mind, one must look for a trustworthy dealer in buying such precious coins. You can go for Monex as it is America's premier coin dealer.

This Kid Loves To Chat

"Ring, ring, ring...Hello!"This is what my eldest niece, Yuan loves to say to me. When she was around two years old, we used to play chatting on the kiddy handphone set. She was so happy to chat with everyone of us. This girl is always curious on every new thing. I remembered that she was sitting on the tricycle and staring at anyone who was talking on the phone. I think she must be feeling strange that how come we talk to the small gadget (phone) with buttons? When I was small, I have actually asked this to my mum. Yuan never asked anyone of us about this but she loves to imitate us!

Yuan is an active and talkative little girl. She is fast to learns many words and brave enough to simply press the numbers on the phone and started to talk. She is very clever, she would hang up the phone extremely fast whenever she knew we saw what she did. But luckily she never "succeed" to dial any international call or else my parents would be yelling at the unexpected total in the phone bill. Kids just love to follow what adults doing. So, you better keep your bad habit away from the eye sight of your kids.

Time flies and Yuan is a Standard Two student now. She knows how to call definitely and she even send SMSes to me. But the problem is that she'll make any phone calls whenever she feels like to do it. I supposed her daddy really needs to get an online phone cards as soon as possible. Her daddy is frequent go overseas on business trips and this daddy's girl will call him about 5 times a day. They can chat quite some time too on every call. Guess what? The phone bill of the month reaching a whopping RM1,800.00!

Hot Plates In Cold Night

There were raining heavily these days in the evening so the weather was quite chilly at night. My mum didn't cook on Saturday as planned earlier because by the time my parents came back from "Cheng Beng", it was quite late in the evening and she decided not to cook. So I suggested to have something different for dinner and steamboat straightaway comes to my mind .

As usual I exercised in the evening at about 6pm indoor since it was raining & thunderstorm outside. After shower, I read magazine for a while then we fetched parents and reached the restaurant in Taman Desa. The lady boss said that will be enough to order for the food of 3-person. Oh my, the four of us who considered as small/normal built always gives other a shock when comes to eat. We gotta ordered extra food for the quantity of 2 more persons! The lady boss said "you all must be very hungry!" Actually we were not in a "very hungry stage" but our appetite is always good, err...you know like Tasmania in Looney Tunes?! hehehe...
I must say that the food is very delicious because all those meatballs & fishballs are self-made. Tell you, the chilli and fried onion (as shown in above pix) made it tastier! Honestly, it tastes much better than Johnny's Steamboat.

My 2nd sis in-law is worry about her girl in catching-up from day one she started in the kindy. But this little girl is progressing well and now she is more willing to spend time on books and doing homework. She told me that she will go for an outing organised by the kindy this week. She was so excited about it. My big boy hubby "kacau" her saying that he'll join her for the outing. Then she shouted " You cannot follow one ah, you know?...Teacher said only ONE person can go with the big big bus!"

Light & Easy...

This photo taken in the leisure area at my big bro's condo. My nephew only allowed my hubby to sit on this bench but not anyone because my hubby is the best pal of him apart from his parents. You see him, he is such naughty yet a cute little boy! He was so happy yesterday to welcome us to his house and he grabbed his daddy's handphone to talk to my hubby! He said " Gu Jiong, you come to my house later ok?..." Although we see each other almost every weekend at my parents' place but we still love to visit each other. My mum brought his favourite Vitagen and he wanted to drink it immediately!

And do you know what is opposite of the bench (as in the pix)? Find it here. Cheers...

Oh, Big Foot!

It's been some time I didn't visit my uncle and family as we used to visit each other when we were small kids. That's not because they stay far from us but due to the family commitments. Therefore, it's quite hard to make everyone sit down together and chat. Nonetheless, we managed to visit them last Sunday on a family get-together affair. My uncle is a site supervisor so he wears safety toe boots on his daily routine. But you know the little boy (my nephew) was pointing at the boots and shouted "BIG FOOT"! That's so cute and hilarious. Then my brother explained to him that uncle needs to wear the boots for safety purpose just like Bob The Builder, uncle is not BIG FOOT. The day is filled with fun and laughter.

A Warm Saturday & Sunday

Last week was running slow indeed as I was waiting my parents came back from their vacation trip. Hubby and I eating outside food every night but luckily we found a restaurant near our place which serves good food with reasonable price. Nevertheless, my mum made dishes are the best for sure undoubtedly. They came back home on Friday early morning around 1.00am so I didn't wait for them at parents' place. Mum gave me a call when they reached home. Oh yeah this time they went to Jiangxi, a relatively small province after visiting most of the major cities in China. Don't think the old folks just love China like many other elderly, they love to go Western countries as well. They love Australia very much for the carefree lifestyle and cleanliness. So we chatted for hours on Saturday basically mum told me the whole itinerary.(as what she did every time they came back from tour) I told her no need to buy me things but she bought a set of lovely tea cup at the Jing De Zhen which is a town very famous for manufacturing porcelain. I love the one with dragon so I chose that one while hubby chose the other one with many ancient chinese characters. This is a lovely souvenir and we can pour chinese tea in this tea cup! And probably we may going for Korea tour with parents next year if everything goes well and accordingly.Meanwhile, the F1 FEVER is bugging hubby and I as it started last Sunday at the first stop in Albert Park, Melbourne, Australia. So we didn't go out anywhere but watched the race in the afternoon. We enjoyed the entire race so much where there were many unexpected moments just kept us excited. Stayed at home since it was a hot sunny Sunday. Where is a better place if not staying inside an air-con room and drinking a chilled Lipton lemon green tea, right?!

Dora The Explorer

I'm sure everyone or rather most of the mummies here are familiar with this little girl who always carrying with her backpack. Yes, she is Dora The Explorer! Still remember that the very first time I "knew" her was back to quite some years ago. Oh yes..., that was Father's Day. We had small party held at my parents' house. Apparently me & hubby were not married yet during that time but he was always "the clown" who makes the kids happy! (that's why all my nieces & nephew love being with him). Hubby asked me to write a kiddie invitation card to the kids for the party. So I bought a pack of those cards featuring Dora & Boots because I saw it was quite lovely and cute. To my surprised, my eldest niece told me that wow...GuGu (GuGu means Aunt in case you wondering what am I writing), how come you know I love Dora one? I watch this cartoon everyday...Since then I realized that it's a popular cartoon series on Astro. (The local paid TV)

I've watched a few times with my nieces and I found it's a good programme for small kids because Dora tends to solve problems whenever she encounters trouble which is challenging her. This is awesome in the sense that it's instilling the value of independent to the kids, I supposed. She also teaches us some simple Spanish phrases. U know my niece will shout I did it or we did it (like what Dora said) when she done with the puzzle. She is funny! If I have a girl next time, sure I'm gonna buy a lot of Dora stuffs for her! For myself, she's an explorer...somewhat like me, hehe...that's why I named myself Dora in blogsphere!

Small Kids And My Big Boy

Just like every weekend, my brothers & family and hubby & I will go to my parents' place on Sunday night to have dinner. I love this day very much as we can enjoy the siblings moment while the kids playing with each other. I must admit that our family ties is good, we are close to each other & I'm glad that there's no issues like family conflict, gossip or the like. I hate those family whereby like to "pretend" in front of you while they talk something else at the back of you.

My hubby enjoys very much being with my family and he can deal with everyone just comfortably although he is the type of not talking much. I feel great about it actually u know 'coz a friend of mine told me how difficult his hubby communicates with her family. Nothing serious but just can't go on with the same topic for sharing kind of thing.

This photo speaks a thousand words:-)When both my nieces reach my parents' house, they ran directly approach to their "Gu Jiong" and discuss about the new games downloaded in their Gameboy. They are so excited whenever there's any "tech thing" sure they'll tell my hubby. One day my hubby bluffing to my younger niece (yes the one in the pix wth pink pants) saying that he has Gameman, she really believes and thought wow...Gameman must be very difficult to play. She 's so cute!

...I'm getting jealous nowadays 'coz you gals seem love your "Gu Jiong" more than "Gu Gu" now ha! Anyway, I love you!

Gifts For My Dear Nieces

Both of my cutie nieces will go to my parents' place every weekend and I'll spend some time playing with them. We sing kiddie songs, play monopoly and other board games. You know the kids right? They won't keep or take care of their things properly. I found some of those toys are either worn out or the missing. So, it's time to buy something new to replace the old one. Searching something online with coupons always give me some great offers. I want to surprise the elder niece with Harry Potter story book with The Scholastic Store Coupons while buying a Barbie doll with KBtoys.com coupons for my younger niece. I'm waiting for them to give me a big big huge and saying " I love you, aunt!"

Visit To Dong Zen Temple, Jenjarom

Since years ago, I always heard about how beautiful of Dong Zen Temple is decorated esp. during Chinese New Year. People told me it's situated at "Yan Ka Long" (Cantonese). I first thought it's Sg. Long, Kajang but it's not then where the hell is this place? Only this year I found out it's actually call Jenjarom, a small town before Banting. Last Saturday, my big bro asked my parents & us to go there. I'm so curious as to the place so I said yes immediately.
Here my nephew came to fetch us, hehehe...
I was so astonished by the entire deco and the place. Before we proceed to the performance, we had dinner at the vegetarian restaurant there. I don't really enjoy eating vegetarian but there's the only choice.
"Chicken" rice and porridge; at least yummy than I expected

Me & hubby with the small lanterns everywhere
Me; me with parents, bro, sis-in-law & nephew while hubby snapping this photo
Buddha statues are GRAND sitting high.
So beautiful, right? The flowers are colourful...
Can u see the giant lantern behind us is so huge
Me with my parents and he naughty boy likes to pose for photo

We went home at about 10 something. The haze was damn terrible on the way. Sure we want to go there again next year!

3rd Day of CNY: 09.02.2008

I love these flowers my mum bought for me very much esp the pink colour one. Its name is "wan zhi chian hong". It looks even prettier when I watering it this morning.
We went to Pavilion's GSC for John Rambo as planned earlier but so damn disappointed that it's only show@9.45pm & 12:15am. These time are not suitable at all-> we have dinner with my parents with my SIL's mum (comes from Penang) at 7pm & feeling don't want to watch midnight movie since always slept late at night for the past 2-week!!! So, paid the parking fees & straight away heading towards 1U. (See how loyal we support Rambo!) It's quite cruel & inhuman but I love it! Sound effect is great! A 60 something Rambo is still alright!
Some snapshots at my parents' place after dinner@a nearby restaurant. These two gals keep sitting on my laps. The auntie with red blouse is my SIL's mum. She'll stay a night@my parents' house & go back to Penang with My bro & family tomorrow. We went for a cuppa@Old Town Cafe after some rest. Oh no...put on some KGs!!! (And we'll have dim-sum for tomorrow's morning! really fainted!...) * See tomorrow's update! *

2nd Day of CNY: 08.02.2008

We went "bai nian" at my 2nd bro house after lunch@parents' house.
We are on the way!

The adults are chatting in the dining room while these people are enjoying themselves with their activities respectively in the living room.
These lil gals then went on to the toys room to play. Qian & Kar Men played inside the "iglo house" & asked me to "squeeze in". The lil fella are so cute!
-------> we spent a fews hours there, had some flower tea & snack, chatting...very relax until about 4 pm.
Then hubby & I went back for a rest b'coz we are damn sleepy and had dinner@my in-laws' house. Just stayed there for a while & stopped by my parents' house. We had a "joyride" at night before we went back home:-
Firstly went to Desa/Sri Hartamas, people chilled out@ard Souled Out & Finnegan area. Then heading to city centre

So quiet along Jalan Raja Chulan
I love this one, very nice lighting.
When we turned into Jalan Bkt Bintang (in front of Pavilion), there was traffic jam like during wee hours even that was almost 1am! Heading back home afterwards, took a warm shower & ZZZzzz...
